Yesterday, I met a man at work, and for a moment, time seemed to stop. We were both stunned, silent, caught in that brief, electric recognition. It wasn’t a game, it wasn’t drama — it was desire. I felt it immediately, questioning myself: “Are you sure you like me?” His reaction mirrored mine, unspoken but clear. I felt seen, admired, alive — sold by the moment, not by words. The pull between us was undeniable, raw, and completely honest.

Today, I finally cut off the serious guy I had been seeing. With him, everything was flat, safe, and predictable. He wanted a serious relationship, but I felt no spark. Letting it continue would have been a mistake; staying with someone without real desire would have been a disservice to both of us. Experiencing the shock of attraction yesterday made it crystal clear what I had been missing — the instant, visceral recognition that tells you when someone aligns with your energy.

I realize now that desire is honest, immediate, and unmistakable. One person can awaken your senses, your body, your heart — and the other, no matter how steady or comforting, cannot substitute for that. I won’t ignore this spark again. I won’t settle for anything less than what electrifies me, body and soul
